There’s no space for mass-market supermarket wines in our portfolio. You can only expect to see independent producers with an emphasis towards organic, sustainable wine-making. Our objective is outstanding service at every level and a range of great value wines that’ll tempt you back time and again to find out more about Hannibal Brown wines.
When we turned the key to Hannibal’s office for the first time on November 1st 2012, we had one priority – to get out from behind Hannibal’s website and provide visibility at every opportunity. To this day, we’ve taken Hannibal’s wines on road-shows up and down the country, encouraging a ‘try-before-you-buy’ system of buying wine wherever, whenever we can. Seven years on and we’ve served zillions of wine samples; entertained thousands with our informal, un-stuffy wine events; and charmed the socks off festival goers across the country.
More recently, we developed a sister company – www.personalisedwinedesign.co.uk – a label design service of the highest quality. We retain an exclusive and upmarket approach here and offer this to both private and corporate customers. It turns a bottle of wine into something that much more special.
We continue to find pennies with which to support a host of charities and good causes. Every year, we fund-raise for a a chosen cause and in 2020, it’s the turn of the fabulous Guide Dogs for the Blind.
As for Hannibal Brown, well, I suppose we could have called it Gregory King Wines. Instead, I opted to pinch Dad’s family name (Hannibal), stuck it together with Mum’s family name (Brown) and hey presto! Hannibal Brown was born.
The team here continues to be small, energetic and 100% committed to the pleasure of wine, and even more so to good manners and customer care. We may be small but we believe we are perfectly formed, handpicked with the same finesse as the succulent grapes that make up the wines that you’ll find listed by us.
Call us anytime – we’re always at the end of the phone and ready for a natter at the drop of a hat.
Keep in touch through our social media platforms and blog pages, documenting our discoveries across the wine world.
