It’s great to have wines with good maturity and this 2013 vintage offers layer upon layer of developed character. Not only do you get a good ‘sock’ of the ever-popular rounded Malbec, but the Petit Verdot and Syrah (or Shiraz) give a welcome bite of spicy pepperyness, toasted almonds and vanilla.
Aged in young, French oak barrels, the wine has deliciously soft tannins, a hint of cassis and bramble fruit. Decanting is advisable for this wine.
