Domaine Pierre Frick went organic in 1970 and one of the pioneers of the bio-dynamic movement, switching to full bio in 1980. It is, by and large, one of the most influential domaines of the movement with respect for their natural attitude across the wine industry.
This 2012 Sylvaner was shown at Hannibal’s Autumn 2019 consumer tasting – it was simply one of the stars of the show – mouth-filling, viscous sensation ‘en bouche’, giving an impression of pure, ripe fruit and a creamy intensity derived from oak cask maturation. The vineyards are very lightly tilled, promoting vine health and helping with pest control management. A vineyard so naturally grown needs nurture and perfect growing conditions to help it along its way.
