Food Pairing
Don’t be afraid to enjoy with spicy food – the supple flavours in the wine will complement Indian curries well. Otherwise, try with succulent poached fish, oysters of course and maybe a mussel or two.

Remich, Luxembourg
Stunningly good Riesling from a lesser known country. Unknown to many, Luxembourg has a very long history of wine production. Riesling, Gewurz, Sylvaner and Pinot Gris are other varieties grown here. Whilst the climate is one of the coolest in Europe for growing grapes, the producers really know what they’re doing here. Mathis Bastian is no stranger to the famous ‘Guide Hachette’ for wine lovers. He runs a property of just 11 hectares, keeps his yields at crazy low levels and is proud to work in an environmentally respectful manner. Only sustainable methods are used, minimising land impact and protecting the characteristics of the grape. Look out for a subtle, lemony tang that dances on your tongue, along with a touch of pink grapefruit and mango, all interwoven with pleasant flinty minerality. This Riesling is clean as a whistle and packed with character. It blew us away when we first tasted it. Hannibal has written about Remich – check out our blog pages.
