Serrano Ham and Manchego

Salty Serrano ham with Manchego cheese – have a little rocket and a slice of fig on the side to taste the difference.

Recipe

  • INGREDIENTS – Beef Stew
  • 1 pack Serrano ham (if you can get freshly cut from a deli then great!)
  • 100g aged Manchego cheese
  • 1 ripe fig
  • A few rocket leaves
  • A sprinkle of smoked paprika
  • Parsley leaves to garnish
  • Very simply cut slices of the ham and the cheese
  • Wrap the cheese with the ham and add a parsley leaf
  • Sprinkle paprika over to garnish
  • Have your fig sliced on the side with your rocket

Taste the canapé first with the wine, then see what happens when you add a little fig and then rocket.  It’s an interesting experiment in how the food changes the wine!
